Resolution
concerning the Windsor Report
In
response to the Windsor Report
of the Lambeth Commission on Communion, issued Oct. 18,
the following resolution was introduced from the floor and passed
during the convention's plenary session on Saturday, Nov. 6.
Whereas the Lambeth Commission, appointed by the Archbishop of Canterbury to address serious division within the Anglican Communion, has published their report, entitled the Windsor Report;
And whereas, the report calls us all to the hard work of reconciliation;
Therefore be it resolved, the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth, meeting in convention the 6th day of November 2004, urges the House of Bishops of the Episcopal Church (USA) to accept and implement the recommendations of the Windsor Report through repentance of their actions against God and His Church.
