EXECUTIVE COUNCIL ELECTIONS

2016 • EXECUTIVE COUNCIL POSITIONS OPEN BY DEANERY

Each Deanery is represented on the Executive Council by two lay persons and one member of clergy. Representatives are elected and serve for three years. Incumbents may be re-elected to a second three-year term before rotating off the Council. See Canon 35. Please submit nomination forms to your Dean at least one week before the October Deanery Meeting. Click here to see the Deanery Meeting schedule.

EASTERN DEANERY Elect one (1) clergy member for a three (3) year term and one (1) lay member for a two-year term. Incumbent Fr. Andrew Petta is eligible for re-election Representative still in office: Harvey Craig (2017) FORT WORTH EAST DEANERY Elect one (1) lay member for a three (3) year term. Use this form to nominate a lay person or member of clergy to a position on the Executive Council. Submit the form to your Dean at least one week prior to your October Deanery Meeting.

Use this form by Sept. 20 to nominate yourself or another person to the Standing Committee or Ecclesiastical Trial Court. We will be electing two people to the Standing Committee: one clerical and one lay. We will elect one clerical member of the Ecclesiastical Trial Court.

Use this form by Sept. 20 to submit a Resolution for consideration at this year’s Convention. For Resolutions requiring an amendment to the Canons or Constitution of the Diocese, see Articles 18 and 19.

Clergy, use this form by Nov. 4 to inform the Bishop’s secretary of any parish members who served at the diocesan level and have died since the last diocesan Convention.

The hotel is directly adjacent to the Granbury Conference Center. Guest room reservations are to be made individually by calling (817) 579-3800 and requesting the group rate for the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth. Or, you may also make a reservation online. If prompted, use the group code EDFW. There are only 15 rooms in this block; please reserve early. Reservations received after the cut-off date of Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016, will be based on availability and charged at the Hotel’s prevailing rates.
