EXECUTIVE COUNCIL • POSITIONS OPEN BY DEANERY

Each Deanery is represented on the Executive Council by two lay persons and one member of clergy. Representatives are elected and serve for three years. Incumbents may be re-elected to a second three-year term before rotating off the Council. See Canon 35. EASTERN DEANERY

 PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY • DELEGATES AND ALTERNATES

Article 12 of the diocesan Constitution provides for the election of representatives to gatherings of the Anglican Church in North America. These provincial assemblies occur once every two or three years. Delegates elected at this year’s Convention will attend the 2019 Assembly. Use the Nominations form linked below to place a name in nomination for one of the following positions. Forms are due on Sept. 1.

Use this form by Sept. 1 to nominate yourself or another person to the Standing Committee or Ecclesiastical Trial Court, or for a position as Delegate or Alternate to the 2019 Provincial Assembly.

Use this form by Sept. 1 to submit a Resolution for consideration at this year’s Convention. For Resolutions requiring an amendment to the Canons or Constitution of the Diocese, see Articles 18 and 19.

Clergy, use this form by Oct. 27 to inform the Bishop’s secretary of any parish members who served at the diocesan level and have died since the last diocesan Convention.

Use this form to nominate a lay person or member of clergy to a position on the Executive Council. Submit the form to your Dean at least one week prior to your October Deanery Meeting.

Meals will be catered by the Hurst Conference Center. Reservations are due by Friday, Oct. 20.

HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS

The Hampton Inn & Suites, at 1600 Hurst Town Center (Highway 121 at Precinct Line, adjacent to the Conference Center) has extended a special guest room rate of $104. (plus tax) for double occupancy.

 

Reservation Procedure

Guest room reservations are to be made individually by calling (817) 503-7777 and requesting the group rate for the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth. Or, you may also make a reservation online.

 

Reservations received after the “cut-off date” of Friday, Oct. 6, will be accepted on the basis of availability and charged at the hotel’s prevailing rates.

 

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation within 24 hours of your intended stay is subject to a one-night charge.

 

Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-in begins at 3 p.m. Check-out time is 12 noon.
