STANDING COMMITTEE NOMINEES

Elect one clerical and one lay member

The Rev. Timothy Matkin is rector of St. Francis, Dallas. He has served on both the Ecclesiastical Trial Court and the Commission on Ministry. He is director of the St. Gabriel’s Conference and has been a faculty member of St. Michael’s Conference Southwest since its founding.

 

 

 

The Rev. Andrew Petta is vicar of St. Barnabas Church in Fort Worth. He has chaired the Convention Nominations Committee and the Bishop’s Conference on Mission. He represents the Eastern Deanery on Executive Council. Fr. Petta has been  a delegate to ACNA Assembly and to GAFCON. He is a SOMA USA board member and works with the local Chamber of Commerce.

Thomas F. Hightower  currently serves on the Camp Crucis Board of Managers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Judy Mayo is a parishioner and staff member at St. Andrew’s, Fort Worth, where she is the longtime Director of Christian Education. She serves on the Altar Guild and participates in many parish programs. She is a past Junior Warden and stewardship chair. Judy currently serves the diocese on the Executive Council, Standing Committee, and World Mission Committee. She is a former president of the Women’s Cabinet and delegate to diocesan Convention since 1982. Judy was a seven-time deputy to General Convention and was elected a delegate to the ACNA provincial assembly for 2009, 2017, and 2019.

ECCLESIASTICAL TRIAL COURT NOMINEES

Elect one clerical member

The Rev. Randall Foster is priest in charge of St. Michael’s Church in Richland Hills. He is licensed by the state bar association. He teaches high school classes at Gracewood Academy in Bedford. Previously he served on the Commission on Ministry for the Diaconate for two years and as chaplain at St. Vincent’s School, 2007-14.

 

The Rev. Michael Mobley is the Rector of St. John’s Church in Brownwood.

 

Nominees for Delegate to Extra-diocesan Synod

Elect five members in each order

Note: Five in each order will be elected to serve as delegates to the next ACNA Assembly. Of those elected, the priest
who receives the most votes and the two lay people with the most votes will also serve on Provincial Council, which meets annually.

CLERICAL ORDER

The Rev. Christopher Cantrell is rector of St. Matthias, Dallas. He has served on the Standing Committee, as Dean of the Fort Worth West Deanery, and a deputy to General Convention. He is the founding director of the St. Michael’s Conference Southwest and secretary/registrar of the Americas Province of the Society of the Holy Cross.

 

 

 

 

The Rev. Chris Culpepper is Rector of Christ the Redeemer, Fort Worth. He is chair of the diocesan Convention Credentials Committee. A past participant or leader on several foreign mission trips, Fr. Culpepper is a past clerical delegate to the ACNA Assembly and past president of the Standing Committee. He is the director of the diocesan Men’s Conference.

 

 

 

 

The Rev. Thomas E. Hightower is interim Dean of St. Vincent’s Cathedral and chair of the diocesan Commission on Ministry. He is a past president of the Standing Committee, delegate to ACNA Provincial Council, and deputy to General Convention.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Rev. Kingsley Jon-Ubabuco is Rector of St. Philip the Apostle, Arlington. He served on the Nominating Committee for the Bishop Coadjutor and is a past elected delegate to the provincial synod.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Very Rev. John Jordan is Rector of St. Laurence, Southlake, and Dean of the Eastern Deanery. Fr. Jordan is a member of the Nashotah House Seminary board of directors. He was a delegate to GAFCON III and has served on the Southlake Mayor’s Advisory Council.

 

 

The Rev. Lee Nelson is Rector of Christ Church, Waco, and directs the Anglican college ministry at Baylor University. Fr. Nelson is a three-time GAFCON delegate, chair of the ACNA committee on catechesis, and a member of the diocesan board of examining chaplains. He served on the Nominating Committee for the Bishop Coadjutor.

The Rev. Mark Polley is priest assistant at Christ the Redeemer, Fort Worth, where he directs the Sunday morning, young adult, and college (TCU) ministries. He is chair of the diocesan Youth Ministry and a former member of the Camp Crucis board. He served on the Nominating Committee for the Bishop Coadjutor.

 




The Rev. Jacob Worley is Rector of St. Andrew’s, Fort Worth. He is a member of the diocesan Executive Council and served on the Nominating Committee for the Bishop Coadjutor.

 

 

 

LAY ORDER

Devan Breedlove is a member of Christ the King and All Saints’, Fort Worth, where he has served as Junior Warden, Webmaster, and youth director. He is a delegate to diocesan convention and maintains the Men’s Conference Web site. Devan has served as a scout leader, neighborhood organizer, and band booster. He attended the 2019 Assembly and is an amateur photographer.

 

 

 

 

 

Cindy Francis is a member of St. Peter & St. Paul, Arlington. Cindy is a member of the choir and a past Senior Warden of the parish. She serves on Altar Guild and the Sunday School team. She is a Cursillista and a past member of Executive Council. She was a Bible Study Fellowship leader for two years and led a neighborhood Bible study for 15 years.

 

 

 

 

 

Kristy Leaseburg is a member of St. John’s, Fort Worth and co-chair of the diocesan Christian Education Commission. In the parish, she has served as a vestry member, Sunday School teacher, Christian Ed. director, and catechist. She is a member of the parish chapter of Daughters of the King/Daughters of the Holy Cross.

Walter Virden III is a member of St. Mark’s, Arlington, where he has served as Senior Warden, LEM, Sunday School coordinator, choir member, and as a member of the building and stewardship committees. He is the diocesan Treasurer and secretary of the Board of Trustees. He is a past delegate to Provincial Council and GAFCON III. Walter is a Rotary Club member and former Boy Scout leader.

 

 

Debbie Wallace is a member of Christ Church, Waco. One of the lay founders of the parish, she has served in a variety of ministries, including Altar Guild, prayer team, women's ministry, college ministry (Baylor), and administrative posts. A delegate to the 2019 ACNA Assembly, Debbie has attended the Ambrose Institute and is a part-time faculty member at Truett Seminary (Baylor). At Waco’s Live Oak Classical School, she is an active parent volunteer.

YOUTH ORDER

Garrison Anderson is a member of St. Andrew’s, Fort Worth. He is a student at Tarrant County College and team member at Chick-Fil-A. Garrison has participated in the parish youth group and has served as acolyte, lay reader, greeter, VBS teacher, and in the choir. He was selected to be a crucifer at the Consecration of the Bishop Coadjutor.

 

 

 

 

Sydney Fraser is a member of St. Laurence, Southlake. She is an acolyte and children's choir member, as well as youth helper for VBS, Christmas Pageant, and Children's Chapel. She has participated in two parish mission trips to Malawi. In school, she is active in dance, theater, debate, and Varsity drill team. She has twice been named student of the month.

 

 

 

 

Lillian Heffron is a member of St. Barnabas, Fort Worth. She is an acolyte, youth group member, and assists with outreach projects. Lillian is a New Beginnings leader and serves on the diocesan youth leadership council. She attended the 2019 Provincial Youth Gathering and is a member of the Varsity band at school.

Jacob Hootman is a member of St. Laurence, Southlake. He is a lay reader and acolyte in the parish and has contributed to the ACNA Liturgy Task Force. He served on the acolyte team for the Consecration of the Bishop Coadjutor. At Steele Accelerated High School in Roanoke, Jacob was a member of the honor society and was elected president of the student government. He is currently enrolled as a history major at UNT.

 

 

 

Brendan Marchand is a member of Christ the Redeemer, Fort Worth. Growing up at Holy Apostles, Fort Worth, he was a choir member and served as an acolyte for nine years. At Camp Crucis, he was a volunteer cabin counselor for four years and has served on staff for the past two summers. Currently he is a youth group leader at St. John’s, and an adult sponsor of the diocesan youth council. Brendan is a student at Weatherford College.

 

 

 

Elizabeth Waters is a member of Good Shepherd, Wichita Falls. She served as an acolyte for 10 years and participated in youth choir for five years. Currently she is a lay eucharistic minister. A student at Hardin Simmons University, Elizabeth is chaplain for student government and for her sorority, and she participates in leadership of two student athletic associations.
