Hood County Court to consider |
|||||
The court in Hood County will consider three issues in the case concerning a bequest to St. Andrew's, Fort Worth, when it convenes at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2. As previously announced, the first two items have been introduced by parties representing The Episcopal Church locally. One is a resubmission of an earlier request to delay the entire case until the suit pending in Tarrant County is resolved. The second is a Rule 12 motion asking the judge to find that attorneys representing the Diocese, the diocesan Corporation, and St. Andew's parish are not entitled to do so. Finally, Judge Ralph Walton will consider a motion filed today by attorneys for the Parish, Diocese, and Corporation, asking him to review his Aug. 5 decision not to grant a summary judgment in the suit. The motion presents seven issues created by the ruling and eight reasons why the Motion for Reconsideration should be granted. Please continue to pray for protection and wisdom for Judge Walton and for our legal team.
